Orhan Pamuk Trial

I wonder what is going to happen to Pamuk in December. I mean, we are back to the basics ... state intervention on a writer's freedom of speech. This is a blue-ribbon requisite article. Check it out.

While at it, check these links on Pamuk:

Hello Sir KK,

Well i conjecture the latter is how u r known as in ur circles (so hope u don't mind my calling you that) and the former is a reverence of my humility to your age and your awesome cosmos of interest, which I can scarcely hope to equal...

I will be posting a critical essay shortly on Derrida in my blog. Check it out if you have time!!!!

Srini hi...

thanks for the reverence, but you got the wrong man for that. I am hardly the one who needs reverence for age. It is just a question of being born earlier or later. And as for the compliments on the cosmos of interests as you called it, you will be there in just a question of time. Keep at it.

Will check your blog on Derrida. Am a huge post-structural freak as well as a PoMo fan. Am myself working on one about Habermas and his Critical Theory vis-a-vis Historical Materialism. Shall keep you posted.

Hello (Sir)KK,

Guess that might satisfy you... you can read sans the parenthesis if you like.

Oh yes, I don't know if I would get there on time, but thank you for the encouraging thoughts. I will be working on Chomsky shortly. Trying to do a comparison between Transformation in Grammar and speech sounds. My interests for the moment are more or less restricted... and yes, the descriptions you have given to your blog, in especial, 'The Quintessential Pottikadai', are just so down-to-the-earth, yet like a perfectly rhymed elegiac pentameter (my favourite) across awry verses... after 500 odd poems, now I am looking to learn the technicalities...

:)

Hello (Sir;) KK,

I think you are - or you seem; I know that semblances are not safe - more of a theatrical gentleman into research on socio-literary theories...

Don't know about your views on poetry. But the poem I have posted is different: written by two people over/thru sms they constitute the thoughts of two poets - me and my school senior one Mr. Prashanth. I'd like to know if there's a coherence at least or if it still seems two-manned for any substantial meaning to occur... and in that let's leave Derrida for awhile...

Deepavali Nalvazhthukkal!!!

Haha... am not exactly a theatrical person. My gestures are as limited and humble in reality. Am basically a bum-ble-bee who dreams and wastes time in believing ideology is still possible and materialism is to be shirked beyond basic needs. Anyway, hope you are having a good Deepavali. Will check your poem.

Hello Krishna ,
Sorry to digress here but just wanted to know if you are the same RadioJockey Krishna on 107.1 FM . I did read your profile . The music tastes seem to be kinda similar to the one on radio but cant say the same about the books :) .
